This yellow shirt is Hugo Lloris' final international jersey — the most-capped goalkeeper in the history of the French national team, the captain who lifted the 2018 World Cup and led Les Bleus to one of the greatest finals in football history, on 18 December 2022 in Lusail.
📅 Absolute records. 145 caps between 2008 and 2022 — the all-time record for France — including 121 as captain, another record. Four World Cups played (2010, 2014, 2018, 2022) and 20 World Cup finals-stage matches, more than any other Frenchman.
📅 18 December 2022 — Argentina 3-3 France (final). The wildest final of the modern era: Mbappé's double in 97 seconds, the hat-trick in a final, the last-gasp save chance in added time… That night Lloris plays his 145th and final match for France, wearing this yellow shirt. A few weeks later, in January 2023, he announces his international retirement.

Captain of a squad decimated by injuries (Benzema, Pogba, Kanté…), Lloris guides Les Bleus all the way to the final: wins over Poland, England in the quarter-final (2-1, a legendary duel with Kane) and Morocco in the semi. Inches away from a 1998-2018-2022 double nobody has ever achieved.
