No flaws. The royal blue is deep and perfectly even, with no faded patches and no shine at the shoulders. The fine striped jacquard on the sleeves is intact, with no pilling. The embroidered rooster is crisp, the V-neck shows no stretching, and the inner label is complete and perfectly legible. The chest number and back nameset are flawless, with no cracking and no lifting edges.

100% AUTHENTIC

✦ Authenticity guaranteed for life

Item checked by hand in my authentication workshop. If a piece bought from me is ever identified as a fake, I refund it in full. Guarantee with no expiry date.

  • Inner label photographed (photo 4): Nike reference 724615-439, size S and barcode 883412587570. The 439 suffix corresponds to the royal blue colourway of the French national team
  • Raised embroidered rooster, star embroidered separately: look at photo 3 — the tail feathers are made of individual stitches and the 1998 star is added above. On a copy, the whole thing is a single heat-pressed patch
  • The shoulders are woven, not printed: the fine navy stripes are a jacquard — you can feel them under your finger. Fakes print that pattern onto smooth fabric
  • The three widely spaced letters "F F F" under the rooster, also embroidered, and the light blue outline around the crest
  • Real photos of the exact shirt for sale, never stock images — full method in my authentication guide

🛠️ Workshop note — The one detail that dates this shirt on its own: the number on the chest. Club shirts never carry one; UEFA requires it at national team tournaments. A royal blue France shirt of this cut without a chest number is the retail version; with one, it's the Euro set-up. Second clue: the V-neck with its navy insert, specific to this 2016 model — the 2014 one had a crew neck.

📖 The summer of 2016, and that shade of blue

Some shirts you recognise instantly because they belong to one precise month. This one is June-July 2016: a Euro held in France, match nights across the whole country, and a blond-haired midfielder wearing 15.

🏟️ A Euro at home. France hosted the tournament and went all the way to the final, on 10 July 2016 at the Stade de France.

💔 The final lost to Portugal. Beaten 1-0 after extra time, on an Éder goal. The shirt of a generation that would win the World Cup two years later.

🎯 Pogba, 23, starting in midfield. He wore 15 throughout the tournament, and signed for Manchester United a few weeks later in a record transfer.

⚽ Griezmann top scorer of the tournament. Six goals, including a brace in the semi-final against Germany — same team, same shirt.

👉 I have other pieces from this generation of Les Bleus: they're in my France national team shirts, alongside my whole 2010s collection.

01

The Pogba fan

His Euro 2016 No.15, a few weeks before his record transfer to Manchester United.

02

The Les Bleus supporter

A home Euro, a final at the Stade de France: the shirt of an entire summer.

03

The tournament-version hunter

Chest number, UEFA patch and RESPECT: the set-up of those Euro nights.

04

The condition stickler

10/10 on royal blue: the colour where the slightest faded patch would show. There is none.

❓ Frequently asked questions about this shirt

Is the nameset original?

No, and I'd rather be straight with you: the shirt is 100% authentic, but the POGBA No.15 nameset is a premium reproduction that I applied by hand in my workshop, in the official Euro 2016 font. That's an advantage: it's brand new, guaranteed not to crack or peel, whereas period namesets still in place are often tired.

And the Euro 2016 and RESPECT sleeve patches?

Same thing: I applied them in the workshop at the same time as the nameset. So they aren't period patches and they aren't proof of anything. What proves the shirt is authentic is the referenced label, the embroidered rooster and the jacquard shoulders — not what was added afterwards.

How do you know it's really the Euro 2016 shirt?

The label carries Nike reference 724615-439, the royal blue France home of that period. Two visual markers back it up: the V-neck with navy insert, specific to this model, and the striped jacquard shoulders. You can check the reference yourself.

Why is there a number on the chest?

Because UEFA requires it at national team tournaments. That's what tells a "Euro" set-up apart from an ordinary France shirt, where the chest stays empty. I reproduced the full tournament set-up here.

Does 10/10 mean brand new?

Here it means no flaws at all: no fading, no pilling, no stretching, complete inner labels. It doesn't have its original cardboard tags, but its condition is that of a shirt that has barely been used.

How does this S fit?

Measured flat: 49 cm pit to pit and 70 cm long. A 2016 Nike S, fitted without being tight, with a fairly short body. If you wear a S and like a roomy fit, go one size up.

How much is shipping and how long does it take?

Sent within 48 working hours with Colissimo tracking (€5.99 in mainland France, free from €100). International rates and delivery times are detailed in my shipping FAQ. Returns accepted within 14 days if unworn.
