⚠️ Important point on this piece: it is a player cut, designed to be worn very close to the body. Only 67 cm in length for an M: that is noticeably shorter than a retail shirt. Lay flat a shirt that fits you well, measure it the same way and compare before ordering.

Excellent condition
Excellent condition, no major flaw found on inspection: no holes, no stains, no snags. The blue is even, the raised jacquard fabric is intact, the tricolour collar is not stretched and the number 18 is perfectly bonded (photo 5). This is still a shirt that has lived in a national squad: light traces of use are normal on this kind of piece, but nothing that catches the eye.

📖 A player's shirt, not a shop shirt
The vast majority of France shirts in circulation are fan versions bought in stores. This is not one of them: it is a federation-issue piece, from the supply chain reserved for national team players. Three elements prove it, and you can check them yourself in the photos.
🔎 The cockerel with no stars. Look at photo 3: the gold cockerel has no stars above it. The two stars from 1998 and 2018 are reserved for the senior team. Youth teams wear the bare cockerel. It is the most immediate marker, and it is impossible to obtain at retail.
🔎 The GFA PROMO FR marking. Photo 6: on the inside of the side panel, the wording “GFA PROMO FR”. That is the issue code, not a retail one. A shop shirt carries a standard commercial marking, never this one.
🔎 The cut and the Dri-FIT ADV fabric. The player version is shorter, narrower, with raised jacquard and ventilation panels the fan version does not have. 51 cm wide by 67 cm long in M: those are the measurements of a shirt built to play in, not to watch in.
👑 The 2024 model — this is the France home design from around Euro 2024, with the stylised gold cockerel and the retro tricolour collar. In the youth version, without stars, it becomes a piece the general public simply cannot buy — and that is exactly what interests collectors of federation-issue shirts.

❓ Frequently asked questions about this shirt
Why does the cockerel have no stars?
Because the two stars from the 1998 and 2018 World Cup titles are reserved for the senior France team. Youth national teams wear the bare cockerel, with no stars. It is the quickest way to tell a youth national team shirt from one sold to the public: the retail version of the 2024 model does carry the two stars.
Does the shirt carry Christ Batola's name?
No. The back carries only the number 18, with no name — the usual configuration for youth national team shirts. The attribution to Christ Batola comes from the provenance given to me at purchase, and I do not provide a match certificate. What I do guarantee is that this is a federation-issue piece, player version.
What is the difference from a shop-bought shirt?
Three concrete differences: the fabric (Dri-FIT ADV with raised jacquard, versus thicker Stadium material), the cut (noticeably shorter and narrower) and the inner “GFA PROMO FR” marking, which identifies a federation issue. On top of that, here, the cockerel without stars, which cannot be obtained at retail.
How does this player version fit in size M?
Actual flat measurements: 51 cm pit to pit, 67 cm in length. It is short and close-fitting, like all player shirts. If you wear a retail M, this one will feel tighter and shorter: it is essential to compare with a shirt you own. More benchmarks in my sizing guide.
Is there only one of these?
Yes, and even more so than usual: federation-issue shirts are only produced in a handful of examples per player per season. This one is photographed exactly as it is, and I will not be able to replace it.
