The black is deep and even, with no fading or pilling. The embroidered blue rooster and its star are crisp, the white swoosh is intact, and both the front number and the back flocking lie perfectly flat. Only one point to flag: the small woven "Authentic" tag at the hem is starting to lift on one edge (photo 6).

Key facts about this piece
The small woven "Authentic" tag stitched at the hem is lifting slightly on one side (photo 6). It is still attached, does not bother you when worn, and a single stitch is enough to secure it.

Workshop note — On this third shirt I start with the rooster: its raised sky-blue embroidery, with detailed feathers, is the hardest part to imitate. I then cross-check the 832468-010 code on the inner label with the year woven on the "Authentic" tag: both point to 2017.
Pogba, France's number 15
Before switching to 6, Paul Pogba wore number 15 for France. He wore it at Euro 2016 on home soil, all the way to the final lost 1-0 after extra time to Portugal on 10 July 2016 at the Stade de France.
This black third shirt accompanies the end of the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign. Les Bleus booked their ticket to Russia on 10 October 2017 by beating Belarus 2-1 at the Stade de France.
15 July 2018: in Moscow, France beat Croatia 4-2 in the World Cup final. Pogba scores the third goal with a left-footed strike and wins the second star.
A black shirt remains rare in France's history: this one, with its sky-blue rooster and chest number, stands apart from the usual blue and white kits.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the number also on the front?
National team shirts carry the player's number on the chest, under the crest or next to the logo. It is a requirement of international competitions, repeated on flocked shirts.
Is the lifting tag a problem?
No. It is stitched at the hem, barely visible when worn and still attached. If you prefer, two stitches of black thread will secure it neatly.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
The inner label carries the code 832468-010, which you can look up yourself. Then look at the raised embroidery of the rooster and the "Authentic" tag dated 2017 at the hem.
How does this M fit?
It measures 51 cm pit to pit and 72 cm in length. Regular fit: if you wear M on the high street, it should fit you.
How much is delivery and how long does it take?
Shipped within 24-48 h with tracking: €5.99 in France, €9.99 to the EU, free from €99.99. You have 14 days to return the shirt if it does not suit you. All the details in my shipping FAQ.
