📖 2017-2018: the midfield boss, on France's first black shirt
This third is the first black shirt in the history of the France national team — a complete aesthetic break in 2017. It existed only for a short window, that of the Russia qualifiers, and it still carries a single star. On the back, the No.15 of Paul Pogba, the midfielder Didier Deschamps built his world-champion team around.
📅 10 October 2017 — France 2-1 Belarus. The match that sealed direct qualification for the 2018 World Cup. That is the campaign told by the « Qualifiers Russia 2018 » patches stitched on the sleeves.
🏆 15 July 2018 — France 4-2 Croatia. Pogba scored in the World Cup final in Moscow and became world champion. He already wore the No.15 during qualifying: this shirt is the season before the title.
⭐ A single star. Since July 2018 every France shirt carries two. This combination — black third + one star + qualifier patches — can never be reissued identically.
👑 Paul Pogba — born in Lagny-sur-Marne in 1993, developed at Le Havre then Manchester United, made his name at Juventus. 2018 world champion with a goal in the final, 2021 Nations League winner. The most spectacular French midfielder of his generation.

Is the shirt 100% authentic?
Yes. Original Nike label with code 832468-010 (photo 4), embroidered one-star FFF cockerel, compliant UEFA and FIFA patches. Authentication carried out in my workshop, real photos of the exact item sold, lifetime authenticity guarantee.
What do the sleeve patches mean?
The « FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 Qualifiers » patch and the « European Qualifiers » patch with the RESPECT badge are the ones worn during European qualifying for the Russian World Cup. They immediately identify the match version of that campaign.
Why only one star on the cockerel?
Because in 2017 France had won only one World Cup, in 1998. The second arrived in July 2018, a few months after this shirt was produced. It is an unbeatable dating marker.
How does this L fit?
54 cm pit to pit and 73 cm in length, flat measurements given above. Nike shirts of this generation run slim (stadium cut). If you prefer a looser fit, go one size up.
