The deep purple has not faded and the fluorescent pink of the trim and printing has stayed vivid — that is precisely the colour that suffers most in the wash, and here it is intact. 📖 Purple, once only in Barça's history
Barça in purple and fluorescent pink happened exactly once. This 2016-2017 away is one of the most recognisable shirts ever made for the club, and it belongs to a season full of landmark nights.
📅 8 March 2017 — the remontada. Beaten 4-0 in Paris in the first leg, Barça won 6-1 at home and overturned PSG in the closing seconds. The only comeback of that scale in Champions League history.
📅 23 April 2017 — the held-up-shirt Clasico. Messi scored in the last minute at the Bernabéu (3-2), took off his shirt and held it up to the Madrid crowd. It was his 500th goal for Barça — and it was this away shirt.
📅 2016-2017 season — Pichichi and Golden Shoe. 37 La Liga goals: Messi finished top scorer in Spain and top scorer in Europe.

Has the fluorescent pink faded?
No, and it is the first thing I check on this particular shirt: fluorescent pink is the shade that suffers most in the wash. Here the side trim, the collar and the printing are exactly the same intensity. The photos are of the exact shirt for sale.
How do you know it is 2016-2017?
The Nike label carries the reference 776844-525 and the season code FA16 (Fall 2016), directly readable in photo 4. It is the most reliable dating method that exists on a modern Nike shirt.
Why is there no sponsor on the front?
This example does not carry one: the front shows only the Nike swoosh, the Barça crest and the Beko logo on the sleeve. I would rather state it clearly — and many buyers find the shirt cleaner that way.
