Almost twenty-five years old and no sign of wear: the red is intense, the ribbed yellow collar has neither stretched nor yellowed, and the mesh panels on the sides and under the sleeves are perfectly intact. The perforated MORIENTES No.9 printing shows no cracking at all. Crest embroidery dense and crisp. No holes, no stains, no pilling.

📖 2002: the quarter-final Spain never got over
The 2002 red with its yellow collar belongs to an era when Spain were world football's great frustration: a pool of talent, and never a trophy. On the back, the No.9 of Fernando Morientes.
🇰🇷 22 June 2002, Gwangju. Spain against South Korea in the quarter-final. Two Spanish goals disallowed in heavily disputed circumstances, then elimination on penalties. That match remains one of the most argued-over in the competition's history.
🎯 The No.9 of the tournament. Morientes finished as Spain's top scorer at this World Cup. An old-school box striker, in a side that still played very directly — a long way from the tiki-taka to come.
🗓️ The date on the label. 02/02: February 2002. This shirt does come from the batch produced for the tournament, not from a retro re-release. For a collector, that is the simplest and strongest proof there is.
👑 Fernando Morientes — born in Cilleros in 1976, three Champions League titles with Real Madrid. On loan at Monaco in 2003-2004, he knocked out his own club in the quarter-finals and reached the final. 27 goals in 47 caps for Spain.

Is the shirt 100% authentic?
Yes. Original adidas label with code 298547, reference ASR001/05 and production date 02/02 (photo 4), embroidered royal coat of arms, period mesh construction. Authentication carried out in my workshop, real photos of the exact item sold, lifetime authenticity guarantee.
Why is there no World Cup patch?
Because tournament patches were not systematically applied to fan versions in 2002, unlike today. Here, belonging to the World Cup kit is established by the 02/02 production date and by the model itself.
Can a 2002 shirt really be a 10/10?
Yes, and it is exceptional. The ribbed collar is neither stretched nor yellowed, the mesh is intact, the printing has no cracks. The photos are taken without colour retouching: what you see is exactly what you will receive.
How does this XXL fit?
64 cm pit to pit and 82 cm in length, flat measurements given above. The cut is very wide, in the spirit of the early 2000s. If you are after a fitted look, this shirt is not made for it — it deliberately hangs loose.
