Shirt condition
Perfect condition
No flaw to report. The red is deep and even with no fading, and the yellow sleeve stripes and gold piping are sharp. The embroidered federation badge is dense with no pulled threads (photo 3). The gold TORRES 9 print with perforated number is complete and perfectly flat (photo 5), as is the small 9 on the chest. The shirt no longer has its retail tags, hence the pre-owned listing.

Workshop note — The 10/08 date means it was made in autumn 2008, after the Euro: adidas kept producing this home shirt after the tournament, until the next model arrived. Code 614398 matches the home model of this period, and the badge does not yet carry a star, added after the 2010 World Cup.
Torres, the goal in Vienna
In 2008, Spain had won nothing since Euro 1964. Luis Aragonés built a side of small, technical players around Xavi, Iniesta and Senna, with Villa and Torres up front.
29 June 2008, Euro final in Vienna. In the 33rd minute, Fernando Torres outpaced Philipp Lahm, beat Jens Lehmann to the ball and chipped it in. Spain beat Germany 1-0.
The start of an era. This title launched the greatest run in the national team's history: the 2010 World Cup, then Euro 2012.
The red and gold shirt of that Euro, with Torres's name, remains one of the most sought-after national team shirts of the 2000s.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no star above the badge?
Spain only received its world champions' star after the 2010 World Cup. A Euro 2008 shirt has none: a good way to date the piece.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
Look at the production label sewn inside: date 10/08 and code 614398. You can check this reference yourself. Then look at the embroidered badge, the gold adidas logo and the piping.
How does this XL fit?
Quite loose, like 2008 adidas cuts: 59 cm pit to pit and 83 cm long. It suits an XL, or an L who likes a roomy fit.
How much is shipping and how fast is it?
