100% AUTHENTIC
✦ Lifetime authenticity guarantee
Piece checked by hand in my authentication workshop. If a piece bought from me ever turned out not to be authentic, I refund it in full. A guarantee with no expiry: only original pieces, never modern re-editions.
City crest: eagle, three stars and the motto Superbia in Proelio embroidered, dense relief (photo 3)
Weave: even Umbro piqué knit, lined with open mesh on the sides (photo 4)
Cut and finish: black polo collar with split neck, Tailored by Umbro label at the collar, black cuffs (photos 1 and 2)
Workshop note — The eagle and three-star crest was replaced by the round badge in 2016: it marks this era. I always check the sharpness of the embroidered motto and the numbered label, both correct here. The printing and patches were applied in my workshop: I never use them as proof.
City 2012-2013, the season after the title
Crowned English champions in May 2012 thanks to Agüero's last-minute goal against QPR, City began the next season as holders, gold patches on the sleeves.
A trophy to start. On 12 August 2012, City beat Chelsea 3-2 to win the Community Shield.
The 8 for Nasri. Signed from Arsenal in 2011 wearing 19, Samir Nasri took the number 8 in summer 2012.
What followed was more bitter: runners-up in the Premier League behind Manchester United, City lost the FA Cup final to Wigan (0-1) and Roberto Mancini left the club in May 2013. It was also Umbro's last season before Nike arrived.
The NASRI 8 printing and the Premier League Champions patches were applied in my workshop. I never count them among the proofs of authenticity: those relate to the shirt alone.
Why gold patches?
In the Premier League, the reigning champions wear gold patches the following season. City having won in 2012, their 2012-2013 shirts carried them.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
Find the numbered OFFICIAL PRODUCT label inside, then the embroidery of the three-star crest and the Tailored by Umbro label at the collar.
How does this S fit?
A fairly generous S: 49 cm pit to pit and 73 cm long. It suits a high-street S, and an M who likes a close fit.
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
Shipped within 24-48 h with tracking: €5.99 in France, €9.99 to the EU, free from €99.99. You have 14 days to return the shirt if it doesn't suit you. All the details in my shipping FAQ.
