Spain 2018 Away Shirt - Ramos No.15 (L)

The shirt is very clean. The light grey base has not yellowed, the blue pattern woven into the fabric is sharp across the whole front and the red shoulder stripes are bright. The V-neck and red sleeve cuffs are not stretched. The very fine Climachill fabric shows no snags or pilling. The RAMOS 15 printing is smooth and complete, with no cracking.

What you need to know

This is the Authentic Climachill version, the one worn by the players, not the supporter version: ultra-light honeycomb fabric, slim fit, numeric size marking at the collar (photo 6). It comes from professional stock; I cannot certify that it was prepared for a player, so I simply present it as an Authentic version.

Sergio Ramos and the World Cup in Russia

In 2018, Spain arrived in Russia with a generation still shaped by the 2010 title, and captain Sergio Ramos wore the number 15 he had kept for the national team since his debut. The Real Madrid centre-back had just won his fourth Champions League.

13 June 2018: two days before the first match, the federation sacked Julen Lopetegui, whose move to Real Madrid had just been announced. Fernando Hierro took over.

15 June 2018: 3-3 against Portugal in Sochi, with a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick. Spain went on to top their group.

On 1 July, in the round of 16 in Moscow, hosts Russia knocked them out on penalties after a 1-1 draw. Ramos played on for the national team until 2021 and became the most capped player in Spain's history.
