📖 2008-2010: between the German Euro and the South African World Cup
This away shirt spans two major tournaments for Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal: Euro 2008 in Austria-Switzerland and the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, during Ronaldo's final years at Manchester United before his move to Real Madrid.
📅 June 2008 — Quarter-final, Germany 3-2 Portugal. Portugal were eliminated by the eventual Euro runners-up, in a wide-open match.
📅 29 June 2010 — Portugal 7-0 North Korea. Portugal's biggest ever World Cup finals win, in the group stage of the South African World Cup. Portugal would then be eliminated in the round of 16 by Spain, the eventual world champions.
👑 Cristiano Ronaldo — already a global star at this point, he wore the captain's armband and the number 7 for Portugal, a constant since his international debut in 2003.
