Manchester United 2020-2021 Third Shirt - Pogba No.6 (S)

Lay flat a shirt that fits you well, measure it the same way and compare — it is by far the most reliable method, much more than the letter on the label.

No flaws. On a white shirt that is the first thing I hunt for: no yellowing at the collar, no grey under the arms, no sweat marks. The white is clean and even. The black zigzags are crisp across the whole surface, without the slightest cracking at the folds. The POGBA No.6 nameset in red is flawless, including its perforated fill and the small Red Devils crest at the base of the 6. Europa League and RESPECT patches intact, Kohler sleeve sponsor sharp, embroidered crest without a stray thread, all labels present.

• Inner label photographed (photo 4): reference FM4263 and production date 12/20. December 2020, right in the middle of the 2020-2021 season — the two pieces of information line up
• The zigzag matches across the side seams: the pattern continues exactly from one panel to the next, including between body and sleeves. On a copy it is offset or simply repeated — the quickest test on this shirt
• Europa League ball on one sleeve and RESPECT on the other: the European configuration, distinct from the Premier League version which carries the English league lion
• Fully embroidered crest (photo 3): the devil, the ship and the three lines of water stand out in sharp relief, with an even red outline. On copies this embroidery is nearly always flat or bleeding

📖 The zigzag, and Pogba's last big season at United

This 2020 third is one of the most instantly recognisable shirts of the decade. With POGBA on the back, it becomes as much a French collector's piece as an English one.

🏟️ May 2021 — the Europa League final in Gdansk. United reach the final and lose it on penalties to Villarreal, after eleven takers each. The UEL patch on the sleeve belongs to that European campaign.

🥈 Premier League runners-up. That same season United finish second behind Manchester City — their best league finish since Ferguson's departure at the time.

🇫🇷 Pogba, a world champion at Old Trafford. Back at United in 2016 after his spell at Juventus, he added the 2018 star to his record during his second English stint. He would leave the club in 2022.

🎨 A pattern the club never brought back — adidas drew on 1990s zigzags to cover an all-white shirt in black chevrons. Too divisive to be repeated, which is exactly what makes it a sought-after third today.
