📖 2004: the greatest upset in the history of the Euros
Greece arrived in Portugal in June 2004 with no stated ambition. They left as European champions. One month of football in which a team rated at 150 to 1 by the bookmakers turned the entire tournament upside down — and in which one forward, the one printed on this shirt, scored the decisive goals in the three biggest matches.
📅 25 June 2004 — France 0-1 Greece. In the quarter-final, Greece knock out the reigning European champions. Scorer: Angelos Charisteas.
📅 1 July 2004 — Greece 1-0 Czech Republic. In the semi-final, Traianos Dellas scores at the end of the first period of extra time: the only silver goal in the competition's history.
📅 4 July 2004 — Portugal 0-1 Greece, the final in Lisbon. In the 57th minute, Charisteas heads in from a corner. Greece are European champions in front of the host nation, in a stunned stadium.
📅 August 2004 — the date on the label. This shirt was produced the month after the title, exactly when all of Greece wanted to wear that blue. It is literally the shirt of the aftermath.
👑 Angelos Charisteas — a target man, scorer against France in the quarter-final and above all in the final against Portugal. Without him there is no Greek fairytale: his No.9 is by far the most sought-after print from that squad.

Yes. The adidas code 110495 and the 08/04 production date are readable on the original inner label (photo 4) and independently verifiable. Add to that the embroidered ΕΛΛΑΣ crest, the stitched patches and the correct 2004 adidas cut. Lifetime authenticity guarantee.
Why Charisteas rather than another player?
Because he scored in the quarter-final against France and, above all, in the final against Portugal on 4 July 2004. On a Greece shirt from that year, his No.9 is historically the most accurate print, and by far the most requested.
How does this 2004 adidas XXL fit?
Wide: 63 cm pit to pit for 78 cm in length. The 2004 cuts are roomier and shorter than today's, which gives the oversized fit that is so sought after now. Compare with the measurements of a shirt you already wear.
What are the patches on the sleeves?
On one side the UEFA Fair Play patch, on the other the round badge of the Hellenic Football Federation. Both are stitched, not heat-pressed — a useful checkpoint, because reproductions almost always use glued patches.
