📖 Pauleta, the striker who marked Bordeaux in the early 2000s

This grey-taupe third shirt, with its navy chevron so typical of the late Adidas years at Bordeaux, dates from the 2000-2001 season — right in the middle of Pedro Pauleta's spell at the Girondins. Arriving in 1999, the Portuguese striker quickly became one of the most feared scorers in Ligue 1, wearing #22 on his back.

🇵🇹 A goalscoring legend. Pauleta left Bordeaux in 2003 to join Paris Saint-Germain, where he became the club's all-time top scorer for many years — a record held until Zlatan Ibrahimović, and later Kylian Mbappé, took it.

📅 2002 World Cup — Portugal 4-0 Poland. Pauleta scored a stunning hat-trick, one of the great moments of his international career. He later captained Portugal at Euro 2004 on home soil.

👕 A rare third from the Siemens era. This grey-taupe chevron colourway, printed with the name of a striker who would become historic for two French clubs (Bordeaux, then PSG), is one of the less common pieces from Bordeaux's early-2000s wardrobe.

01

The Bordeaux supporter

You lived through Bordeaux's Pauleta years. This grey-taupe third is a piece of the wardrobe few collectors own today.

02

The Pauleta / PSG fan

Before becoming PSG's all-time top scorer, Pauleta wore this #22 at Bordeaux. A pre-Paris piece, rarely offered.

03

The rare-piece hunter

A third colourway made for a short window, with a Siemens sponsor long gone from the telecom market: a combination that will never be seen again.

04

The unforgettable gift

For a Girondins supporter or a vintage collector, an authentic piece you won't find in a regular shop.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Is this shirt 100% authentic?

Yes. Adidas Bordeaux 2000-2001 authentication done in my workshop: original inner Adidas label with product code (photo 4), official F.C. Girondins de Bordeaux crest, matching Siemens sponsor and LNF patch. Real photos of the exact item, lifetime authenticity guarantee.

Who is Pauleta?

Pedro Pauleta is a Portuguese international striker, a prolific scorer for Bordeaux between 1999 and 2003 before joining PSG, where he became the club's all-time top scorer until Ibrahimović and later Mbappé took the record.

Why is this shirt grey instead of purple/white?

This is Bordeaux's third kit for the 2000-2001 season, in a grey-taupe colourway with a navy chevron, distinct from the club's classic white home and away kits.

How does this 2000 Adidas shirt fit in size XL?

Adidas shirts from this generation run roomy compared to today's standards. An XL is a comfortable, more streetwear fit. More details in my size guide.
