Atletico Madrid 2014-2015 Away Shirt - Griezmann No.7 (L)

⚠️ Read this before buying

This shirt has one very small snag at the back, just below the collar, a few centimetres from the shoulder seam. It's visible in photo 6, close up under hard light: it measures a few millimetres and sits in an area covered by the collar when the shirt is worn. Everything else is excellent. It's the only reason this isn't a 10/10.

📐 Flat measurements

Lay a shirt that fits you well flat, measure it the same way and compare — vintage often sizes differently from new.

The light grey is clean and even, with no yellow cast and no underarm marks — the first thing I check on a colour this pale, and there's nothing to report. The darker grey chevron keeps its contrast, and the maroon trims on the collar and cuffs haven't bled. The Azerbaijan sponsor is intact, with no cracking. The LFP patches are firmly attached. Only flaw: the small snag below the collar described above (photo 6).

• Inner label photographed (photo 4): Nike reference 618809-044, size L, barcode 885176339075 and batch FA140206NAG. The FA14 prefix denotes the autumn 2014 collection
• Original LFP patches, factory-applied: these were not added by me. The multicoloured "LFP" logo was dropped in favour of "LaLiga" in 2016 — its presence closes the dating window before that date
• Raised embroidered crest: the bear and the strawberry tree of Madrid are stitched thread by thread on a yellow ground, with the seven stars above. On a copy the whole thing is a flat heat-pressed patch and the stars bleed
• The chevron is woven into the knit: that big darker grey V running from shoulder to waist isn't printed, it's a separate knit panel. Look at photo 2 in raking light — the boundary is a seam, not an ink edge

📖 Griezmann's first year in Madrid

Summer 2014: a twenty-three-year-old French winger leaves Real Sociedad for the reigning Spanish champions. He takes the number 7, and won't let go of it for five years.

🏆 Reigning Spanish champions. Atlético went into 2014-2015 carrying the previous season's La Liga title — their first since 1996.

🥇 Spanish Super Cup, August 2014. Atlético beat Real Madrid to lift the trophy. Griezmann was thrown straight into the Madrid derby.

🔴⚪ A red 7 on grey. Bright red lettering on pale grey: the most legible contrast in the whole colchonero wardrobe of those years.

🎨 The chevron, Nike's 2014 signature — that big grey V running from the shoulder to the waist is what makes this shirt recognisable at a glance. Atlético never used it again.
