Perfect condition
No signs of wear: the black is deep, the red pattern is sharp right down the sleeves and the V-neck keeps its shape. The Turkish Airlines and Assist Card sponsors are intact, as are the J.ALVAREZ 9 printing and the eFootball logo on the number. I found nothing to report.

Workshop note — On adidas shirts of this generation, the small tag sewn low on the side carries the date and article code. Here, 05/21 and GU9605 match a spring 2021 production, just before the release of the 2021-2022 away shirt, and the red pattern runs without a break across the shoulder seams.
Julián Álvarez, the spider of the Monumental
Born in 2000 in Calchín, in the province of Córdoba, Julián Álvarez made his top-flight debut with River Plate in 2018, under Marcelo Gallardo. His nickname, La Araña, the spider, has followed him since childhood.
In 2021 he became the team's goalscorer: River won the Argentine championship and Álvarez finished as the Liga Profesional's top scorer. In January 2022, Manchester City signed him and loaned him back to River until the summer.
25 May 2022, Monumental. In the Copa Libertadores against Alianza Lima, Álvarez scored six goals in an 8-1 win, one of the competition's records.
A few months later, he became world champion with Argentina in Qatar, scoring four goals in the tournament.
Frequently asked questions
Has the shirt been worn?
It shows no visible sign of wear or washing, hence its 10/10 rating. It no longer has its retail tags, however, so it is sold as a second-hand shirt.
Why a black and red away shirt?
Red and black echo the diagonal band and crest of River. The home shirt stays white with a red band; the 2021-2022 away took the opposite route with this red pattern on a black base.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
Look at the small inner tag: date 05/21 and code GU9605. You can type this code into a search engine, it points to this River Plate away shirt.
How does this L fit?
On the large side: 56 cm pit to pit and 79 cm long. It will suit an L who likes room, or an XL who prefers a fitted cut.
