Shirt condition
Excellent condition
For a shirt close to twenty years old, the condition is remarkable: the black hasn't faded to grey, the red shoulder panels are bright and the bwin sponsor is intact, with no cracking. I only noticed minimal wear, invisible to the naked eye when the shirt is worn.

Workshop note — The 05/07 date makes sense: adidas produced the 2007-2008 shirts in spring 2007, ahead of their summer release. On this generation, a six-digit reference with no dash is the norm, long before today's alphanumeric codes.
Ronaldo, the Fenomeno's 99
Ronaldo arrived from Real Madrid in January 2007. With the number 9 already worn by Filippo Inzaghi, he chose 99. He became one of the few players to have worn the shirts of both Inter and Milan.
13 January 2008: at San Siro, Milan beat Napoli 5-2. Ronaldo scores twice, on the day of Alexandre Pato's first steps in Serie A.
A month later, on 13 February 2008, he ruptured his patellar tendon against Livorno. It was his last match for Milan, whom he left at the end of the season for Corinthians.
This black third shirt, with its polo collar and red panels, remains one of the most sought-after kits of those rossonero years.
Frequently asked questions
Why did Ronaldo wear 99?
When he arrived in January 2007, the 9 belonged to Filippo Inzaghi. Ronaldo doubled his favourite digit and wore 99 throughout his time at Milan.
What does the star above the crest mean?
In Italy, a star rewards ten league titles. Milan have worn it since their tenth scudetto, won in 1979.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
Look at the inner label: the reference 694959 should match the Milan 2007-2008 third shirt, with a consistent production date (here 05/07). Also check the embroidery of the crest and the adidas logo.
How does this L fit?
It runs a little long, as was common at the time: 53 cm pit to pit and 78 cm long. It works well tucked in or worn slightly loose.
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
Shipped within 24-48 h with tracking: €5.99 in France, €9.99 to the EU, free from €99.99. You have 14 days to send the shirt back if it doesn't suit you. All the details are in my shipping FAQ.
