Very good condition
The black is deep with no fading, the red and black polo collar holds its shape and the red shoulder stripes are crisp. The embroidered crest and the Italian flag on the chest are flawless. What you need to know: the Fly Emirates sponsor shows visible wear on several letters, detailed below.

What to know about this piece
The Fly Emirates sponsor is worn: fine cracks and small flaked areas on "Fly", "mi" and "es" (photos 6, 7 and 8). It is the typical wear of a shirt that has been worn and washed, with no holes or peeling. The printing and patches, applied in my workshop, are brand new.

-
adidas label (photo 4): date 02/12, reference X23707 and factory code AZB001
-
Embroidered ACM 1899 crest (photo 3): clean outlines, gold star embroidered separately above the badge
-
Italian flag on the chest sewn in relief with red topstitching, and small ClimaCool label under the collar
-
Cut and finish: buttoned polo collar, breathable mesh side panels, red and green topstitching
Workshop note — The 02/12 date falls a few months before the launch of the 2012-2013 season, as always with adidas. On this model, I check the chest flag: it is sewn and topstitched, not simply printed on the fabric.
El Shaarawy, the Pharaoh of San Siro
In summer 2012, Milan lost Ibrahimović and Thiago Silva to PSG. In a younger squad, a 19-year-old forward with an iconic quiff stole the spotlight: Stephan El Shaarawy, nicknamed "il Faraone".
He wore the 92, his year of birth, and finished the season with 16 Serie A goals. He also earned his place in the Italian national team.
20 February 2013: in the Champions League round of 16 first leg, Milan beat FC Barcelona 2-0 at San Siro.
Milan finished third in Serie A and returned to the Champions League. This black polo-collar third is one of the standout shirts of that transition season.
Frequently asked questions
Are the sleeve patches original?
No, the Champions League starball, the 7 Champions League titles badge and the RESPECT patch were applied in my workshop, at the same time as the printing. They are not used as proof of authenticity: the label, the crest and the finish establish it.
Why did El Shaarawy wear the 92?
It is his year of birth: he was born in October 1992 in Savona.
Will the sponsor wear get worse?
It stays stable if you wash the shirt inside out at 30 °C, with no tumble dryer and no ironing over the sponsor. Heat is what makes heat-applied prints crack.
How does this M fit?
Rather close to the body: 51 cm pit to pit and 74 cm long. If you like a loose fit, look at an L instead.
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
Dispatched within 24-48 h with tracking: €5.99 in France, €9.99 to the EU, free from €99.99. You have 14 days to return the shirt if it does not suit you. All the details in my shipping FAQ.
