AC Milan 2016-2017 Away Shirt - Honda No.10 (S)

⚠️ Read this before you buy

Three things to know, all photographed: the collar label has been cut out by a previous owner (photo 4), there is a pulled thread in the knit (photo 6) and two small marks on the back (photo 7). On a nine-year-old white shirt that is not much — but you should know before ordering.

📐 Flat measurements

With the size label cut out, these measurements are your only reliable reference. Lay flat a shirt that fits you well, measure it the same way and compare.

The white is clean, with no yellowing at the collar and no grey under the arms — the first thing I check on this colour. The fine silver vertical pinstripes are crisp across the whole surface. The gold HONDA No.10 nameset is intact with no lifted edges, and the gold Fly Emirates sponsor is clean. Embroidered crest flawless with its star, Serie A TIM and Coppa Italia patches sharp on the sleeves, two-button polo collar undistorted. The three reservations: the cut label, the pulled thread and the marks on the back.

The cut label changes nothing: authentication never rests on a single element. Item checked by hand in my workshop. If an item bought from me is ever identified as a counterfeit, I refund it in full.

• The pinstripes are woven, not printed: each fine vertical line is a raised braid built into the knit, which you can feel with a fingernail. That is the decisive test on this model — copies print flat lines
• Fully embroidered crest with a separate star (photo 3): the red and black oval stands out in sharp relief, the “1899” stays legible, and the gold star is embroidered separately above it. Two distinct pieces that reproductions merge into one
• Two different sleeve patches: Serie A TIM on one side, Coppa Italia on the other. That combination dates the season precisely

📖 White and gold, and Honda's farewell

Milan almost never play in gold. For 2016-2017, adidas dressed the away kit in white pinstripes lifted by gold on every marking. A rare choice, on a transitional season.

🇯🇵 Keisuke Honda's last season. Signed in 2014, the Japanese left Milan in summer 2017. This shirt is one of the last to carry his name in rossonero.

🏆 The Italian Super Cup. In December 2016 Milan beat Juventus on penalties to win the Supercoppa — the club's first trophy in five years.

🔟 The number 10 of a club of legends. Worn before him by Rivera, Savićević, Rui Costa, Seedorf and Boateng. Honda received it in 2014: at San Siro that is never a small thing.

🎨 An understated away kit — woven pinstripes, gold markings, buttoned polo collar: adidas produced one of the cleanest shirts of the period, against the loaded designs of the time.
