Shirt condition

Excellent condition

One thing to flag, and it is tiny: the “climacool” lettering printed at the hem is slightly cracked (visible in photo 7). It is the first element to go in the wash on this adidas generation, and it affects neither the fabric nor the rest of the shirt. Otherwise: the black has not greyed, the turquoise on the stripes and collar is still vivid, no pilling, no snags. The RONALDO 7 print is flawless, including the miniature crest at the base of the 7. All four patches are perfectly bonded: the “12” starball, the RESPECT band, the blue titleholder badge and the gold Club World Cup patch. Crisp embroidered crest, collar with no stretching.

100% AUTHENTIC

✦ Authenticity guaranteed for life

Item checked by hand in my authentication workshop. If an item bought from me is ever identified as a counterfeit, I refund it in full. Guarantee with no expiry date.

  • Inner label photographed (photo 5): adidas reference BR3543 and production date 10/17. October 2017, right in the middle of the 2017-2018 season: the two line up
  • The patch combination dates the shirt to the month: the gold Club World Cup patch was only worn after the December 2017 title, and the blue titleholder badge only during that season. No other Real season shows this exact set
  • The crest is embroidered in turquoise, not printed (photo 3): the crown and the MCF initials stand out in relief, with thread that catches the light. Fakes print a flat green shape with no thickness
  • The three side stripes are applied and stitched, not printed: you can feel the topstitching on both edges, and they run all the way under the arm
  • Real photos of the exact item sold, never stock images — full method in my authentication guide

🛠️ Workshop note — Zoom in on the base of the 7 in photo 6: the Real Madrid crest is printed there in miniature, grey on white. It is a few millimetres across, only visible from close up, and yet it is the detail counterfeit prints miss most often — they either leave it out or turn it into a blurry smudge. Look at the outline of the number too: it is double, white then black, with a slight drop shadow. A single outline means the print was redone.

📖 CR7's last season in Madrid — in black

This black and turquoise shirt belongs to the densest season of the modern Real Madrid: the one where the club won everything in Europe, and where its number 7 played his final months in Spain.

🏆 The 13th Champions League. Real won the Kyiv final in May 2018 — a third consecutive European Cup, something nobody had managed in the modern era.

🌍 Club World Champions, December 2017. That title is what put the gold patch on the chest of this shirt. It is only worn in the second half of the season.

👋 July 2018 — Ronaldo joins Juventus. Nine seasons, 450 goals, four Champions Leagues. This is one of the very last shirts he wore in Spain.

🎨 Black and turquoise, a rare choice for Real — adidas deliberately stepped away from immaculate white for this away kit. It is now one of the most sought-after away shirts of the Ronaldo period.

❓ Frequently asked questions about this shirt

Is the cracked climacool lettering a problem?

No. It is a small printed wording at the bottom right of the shirt, purely decorative (photo 7). It wears off in the wash on almost every adidas of this generation. The fabric around it is intact and it does not spread. It is the only gap between this shirt and a 10/10.

What do the patches on this shirt mean?

The starball with the “12” marks the twelve Champions League titles won at the time. The RESPECT band always accompanies UEFA matches. The round blue “2017” badge identifies the reigning European champion. And the gold patch on the chest celebrates the Club World Cup title of December 2017.

How do you know it is really 2017-2018?

The label carries the adidas reference BR3543 and the date 10/17. The patch combination confirms it: the gold Club World Cup patch only exists from December 2017, and the titleholder badge disappears at the end of that season.

Is this shirt authentic?

Yes. Referenced and dated adidas label, embroidered crest with relief, stitched side stripes, official UEFA and FIFA patches, double-outlined printing with a miniature crest inside the number. Lifetime authenticity guarantee, full refund if a doubt is ever proven.

How does this L fit?

Measured flat: 56 cm pit to pit and 74 cm long. A generous adidas L, roomier than current cuts. If you wear a M and like it loose, it will work for you too.

How much is shipping and how long does it take?

Shipped within 48 working hours with Colissimo tracking (€5.99 in mainland France, free over €100). International rates and delivery times are detailed in my shipping FAQ. Returns accepted within 14 days if unworn.
