Lay flat a shirt that fits you well, measure it the same way and compare — vintage sizing is often different from modern kits. At 61 cm across, this L is particularly generous: that's the Spanish cut of the 1990s.

Thirty years old and holding up beautifully. No holes, no stains, no snags. The Teka sponsor is solid and supple, with no cracking (close-up in photo 3). The embroidered crest is flawless, crown and gold edging intact (photo 4). The one point to flag in full transparency: the ribbed collar has yellowed slightly over time and now reads ivory, as white 1990s collars often do (visible in photos 1 and 5). It isn't a stain, it's an even patina — but it's there, and I'd rather tell you.

📖 1994-1995: Real take the league back — and take revenge

This white shirt belongs to a season of reconquest. After years of dominance by Cruyff's Barcelona, Jorge Valdano's Real Madrid won back the Spanish title in 1995. A team blending established leaders, a marquee signing poached from the Catalan enemy, and a 17-year-old nobody yet suspected would become what he became.

📅 7 January 1995, Bernabéu — Real Madrid 5-0 FC Barcelona. Almost exactly a year after the 5-0 taken at the Camp Nou, Real returned the favour with an Iván Zamorano hat-trick. One of the decade's defining Clasicos — played in this shirt.

📅 1994-1995 — Zamorano wins the Pichichi. The Chilean finished as La Liga's top scorer with 28 goals and carried Real to their 26th Spanish title.

📅 29 October 1994 — Raúl's debut. At 17, Raúl González made his La Liga debut in this shirt. He would become club captain, a Real legend and one of the greatest goalscorers in its history. That season, he was only just discovering the Bernabéu.

👑 Kelme and Teka — the Spanish brand from Elche kitted out Real Madrid in the mid-1990s, with this signature jacquard and those paw prints on the shoulders. Paired with the Teka sponsor in purple lettering, it's a combination that exists across only a handful of seasons — and identifies the era at a glance.
