📖 2016-2017: Klopp's first full season
This is the shirt of the restart. Having arrived mid-way through the previous campaign, Jürgen Klopp got his first full season at Anfield here — and took Liverpool back into the top four and the Champions League. At the heart of the team, a 24-year-old Brazilian playmaker wearing No.10.
🏆 Back in the Champions League. Liverpool finished the season in the top four and returned to Europe's biggest competition. Two years later the club would win it in Madrid: this season is the first stone.
⚽ Coutinho, Anfield's No.10. The Brazilian was at his peak at Liverpool: shots from distance, free kicks, line-breaking passes. His shirts from this period are the most sought after of his English career.
📅 January 2018 — the move to Barcelona. A few months after this season, Coutinho joined FC Barcelona in one of the most expensive transfers in football history. This shirt belongs to his last great full year with the Reds.
🕯️ The 96 memorial. Under the collar, two eternal flames and the number 96 honour the victims of the Hillsborough disaster. A permanent marking on Liverpool shirts.

Flat measurements: 55 cm pit to pit, 74 cm in length. New Balance shirts from this generation fit fairly close to the body. Measure a shirt you already wear and compare with these figures.
How can you tell the season on this model?
Two markers: the inner label reads “2016/2017” directly, and the sleeve patches carry the new Premier League lion logo introduced in summer 2016 to replace the Barclays badge.
What does the “96” on the back mean?
It is the Hillsborough memorial: two eternal flames flanking the number 96, honouring the victims of the 15 April 1989 disaster. It appears permanently under the collar of Liverpool shirts.
