📖 2008-2009: Essien's Chelsea, between transition and FA Cup glory
This black away shirt, worn during a turbulent season on the bench (Scolari then Hiddink), is printed with the name of Michael Essien, the Ghanaian midfielder nicknamed “The Bison” for his physical power.
📅 30 May 2009 — Chelsea 2-1 Everton. In the FA Cup final at Wembley, Chelsea lift the trophy under Guus Hiddink, closing out a season marked by two managerial changes.
