📖 2019-2020: 126 million euros and a night at Anfield
In the summer of 2019 Atletico lost Griezmann and took a gamble: signing a 19-year-old Portuguese forward for the biggest transfer in the club's history. This light blue third, with its Champions League patches, is the shirt of that first season — the one in which Atletico knocked out the reigning European champions.
📅 Summer 2019 — the record transfer. João Félix leaves Benfica for 126 million euros, a figure Atletico Madrid had never reached. At 19 he is handed the number 7 and the task of replacing Griezmann.
📅 11 March 2020 — Liverpool 2-3 Atletico, after extra time. At Anfield, Atletico knock the holders out in the round of 16 (4-2 on aggregate). One of the last great European nights before competitions were halted.
📅 August 2020 — the Lisbon Final 8. The competition resumed behind closed doors in a straight knockout format. Atletico went out in the quarter-final against RB Leipzig. A one-off edition in the history of the tournament.
👑 João Félix — trained at Benfica, revealed at 18 in the Portuguese league, Portugal international. His first season in Madrid was the one everyone watched: shirts printed with his name in the Champions League version remain the most sought-after of his Spanish period.

Is the shirt 100% authentic?
Yes. The Nike product code AT0026-436 is readable on the inner label (photo 4) and independently verifiable. Add to that the stitched UEFA patches, the official Champions League lettering with the crest inside the number and the « ATLETI » jacquard woven into the knit. Lifetime authenticity guarantee.
How is it different from the La Liga version?
The sleeves and the lettering. Here, the UEFA Champions League patch (the starball) and the RESPECT patch, with the club's European font and the crest built into the number. In the league, the shirt carries the La Liga patch and a different font. European versions are produced in far smaller numbers.
Why does the lettering read « JOÃO FÉLIX » in full?
Because that is the name the club registered for this player, first and last name on a single line, with the Portuguese accents. It is exactly what appeared on the match shirts — a detail reproductions often simplify to « FELIX ».
How does this Nike shirt fit in L?
Rather fitted: 55 cm pit to pit for 73 cm in length, so a fairly short body compared with current cuts. If you like a roomy fit, go one size up.
What exactly does the 9.5/10 condition mean?
