No flaws found during inspection. On a white shirt that's the crucial point: this one has no rings, no stains, no yellowing at the collar or underarms. The tonal stripe pattern is crisp, the W88 sponsor is solid and supple with no cracking (close-up in photo 3). The DIOGO J. 18 printing is complete, with the Premier League patches built into the digits fully intact (photo 5). No bobbling, no holes.

📖 2018-2019: the season Wolves came back to the top
Wolverhampton returned to the Premier League in 2018 after six years away, having come up as Championship champions. Nobody expects much from a promoted side. What Wolves made of that season went far beyond the predictions — and this white away shirt, printed with a young Portuguese forward's 18, is a direct witness to it.
📅 May 2019 — 7th in the Premier League. On their return to the top flight, Wolverhampton finished 7th, their best first-division placing since 1980, and qualified for Europe. A promoted side's feat that defined the English season.
📅 19 January 2019 — Wolves 4-3 Leicester, Diogo Jota hat-trick. The match of the season at Molineux. The No.18 scored three, including the winner in stoppage time. That was the day the whole of England learned his name.
📅 April 2019 — FA Cup semi-final. Wolves reached the last four at Wembley, knocked out by Watford after extra time. A promoted side's season that came close to both a cup final and Europe at the same time.
👑 Diogo Jota, No.18 — developed in Portugal, he joined Wolverhampton in 2017 and carried the club from the second division to Europe. In 2020 Liverpool came for him. This shirt belongs to his Wolves years, the ones where he made his name.

Because that's the name Wolverhampton officially had printed at the time, with the surname abbreviated. Clubs choose freely what appears on the back, and this is the 2018-2019 version. A « JOTA » on this exact model would in fact be a red flag.
What is the « 07/18 » date on the label for?
It's the shirt's production date: July 2018. adidas systematically prints month/year on its inner labels. A date consistent with the launch of the 2018-2019 season is an excellent authenticity indicator — and one of the details counterfeiters most often forget to align.
