Real Madrid in mint green: nobody saw that coming. This 2019-2020 third remains one of the most unusual shirts in the club's recent history — and it belongs to the season in which Karim Benzema became, beyond argument, the leader of the Madrid attack.
🏆 July 2020 — Spanish champions. Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid won their 34th La Liga title after a near-perfect restart following the lockdown. A season built on management and consistency rather than spectacle.
⚽ Benzema, the club's top scorer. Karim Benzema finished 2019-2020 with 21 La Liga goals, his best league season at that point. This is when he went from supporting striker to attacking leader, after Cristiano Ronaldo's departure.
⭐ The "13" badge. Thirteen Champions Leagues: Real Madrid are by far Europe's most decorated club and wear the UEFA Badge of Honour accordingly. That number has already changed since — this shirt is dated forever.
