📖 2001-2002, one of Pauleta's great seasons at Bordeaux
A new design for the Girondins' home shirt that season, with a reworked crest and an updated Siemens Mobile sponsor. Pedro Pauleta begins here the second-to-last season of his Bordeaux spell, confirming his reputation as Ligue 1's most feared striker.
⚽ One of his best campaigns. The 2001-2002 season ranks among the most prolific of Pauleta's Bordeaux career, as he confirmed season after season his status as the league's top offensive threat.
🇵🇹 Bound for Paris. A year later, in 2003, Pauleta left Bordeaux for Paris Saint-Germain, where he became the club's all-time top scorer for many years — a record held until Zlatan Ibrahimović, and later Kylian Mbappé, took it.
👕 The last great navy vintage. This 2001-2002 home colourway, with its shield-shaped crest typical of the era, marks a stylistic evolution from the previous seasons of the Girondins shirt.

What's the difference with the 2000-2001 shirt?
The crest was redesigned (shield shape with the “1881” mention), and the Siemens Mobile sponsor was slightly updated compared to the previous season. The cut and navy-with-white-chevron colourway remain similar.
Who is Pauleta?
Pedro Pauleta is a Portuguese international striker, a prolific scorer for Bordeaux between 1999 and 2003 before joining PSG, where he became the club's all-time top scorer until Ibrahimović and later Mbappé took the record.
