OM: Payet, Valbuena... Why are these modern jerseys already classics?

In Marseille, the jersey is a religion. While everyone dreams of the 1993 kit, the prices have become untouchable for many.
However, other pages of Olympique's history deserve a place in your collection. Players who thrilled the Vélodrome with their talent or longevity.
Today, we're focusing on two modern "Heroes" whose value continues to climb: Dimitri Payet and Mathieu Valbuena.
1. The Payet Era: The Last "Maestro" of the Vélodrome
He is probably the most talented player to have played for OM in the 21st century. Dimitri Payet embodies a love for the jersey, crazy moves, and that ability to get 60,000 people on their feet with a single pass.
Why collect Payet now?
- Immediate nostalgia: Now that he's gone, fans realize the void he left.
- Adidas aesthetic: His first jerseys (2013-2015) or those from his return (2017) mark the end of a highly sought-after stylistic era.
2. Mathieu Valbuena: The Heroic "Little Bike"
Before the controversies, there was the player. And what a player. Arriving out of nowhere, he delivered the 2010 title, scored at Liverpool, scored at Dortmund...
Valbuena's jersey (often N°28) tells the story of a warrior. It's a character piece for an OM collection.
3. Gems from the 2000s (The Pape Diouf Era)
For those in their thirties, this was a golden age of emotions. The baggy jerseys, the "Neuf Telecom" sponsor, the epics of Drogba, Niang, Ribéry... and soldiers like Bamogo.
These jerseys are becoming rare because they were often worn a lot in the stadium. Finding one in excellent condition today (like those we sometimes get in stock) is a small victory.
Always the first... in vintage?
Our OM stock sells out very quickly. If you are looking for a specific jersey (2010 title season, Bielsa era, etc.), don't delay.
