Shirt condition

Excellent condition

Excellent overall condition for a white shirt from 2010. No holes, no tears, no fading: the white is still bright, the fine sky-blue pinstripes are crisp, the LUCHO No.8 printing and the UEFA patches are intact. In full transparency, the fabric carries a few micro wear marks visible only in close-up — photo 6 shows them so you can judge for yourself. At wearing distance they are invisible.

100% AUTHENTIC

✦ Authenticity guaranteed for life

Every piece is checked by hand in my authentication workshop. If a shirt bought from me is ever identified as a fake, I refund it in full. No expiry date on that guarantee.

  • Original adidas inner label photographed (photo 4): reference P96784 and production date 04/10 — April 2010, exactly the manufacturing window for the Marseille 2010-2011 home shirt
  • OM crest embroidered with the 1993 gold star and the "DROIT AU BUT" motto: dense embroidery with sharp relief (photo 3), where fakes print or flatten it
  • UEFA Champions League starball and RESPECT patches on the sleeves: European configuration, consistent with Marseille's 2010-2011 campaign
  • LUCHO No.8 printing in sky blue with a gold outline, in the club's official font for that season (photo 5) — the gold outline is the detail reproductions most often get wrong
  • Real photos of the exact shirt for sale, never stock images — full method in my authentication guide

🛠️ Workshop note — The star above the crest is not decoration: it marks the 1993 Champions League, which Marseille remain the only French club to have won. On a 2010-2011 shirt carrying UCL patches, the circle closes: the club was back in Europe.

📖 2010-2011: Marseille at the peak of their decade

This shirt belongs to modern Marseille's finest moment. The club had just been crowned French champions in 2010 — their first title in 18 years — and started 2010-2011 as reigning champions, with the Champions League on the calendar and a Stade Vélodrome in full voice.

📅 Summer 2010 — OM start as champions. With the Ligue 1 title secured, Marseille won the Trophée des Champions and set off on another European campaign: this shirt carries the UEFA patches of that season.

📅 23 April 2011 — OM 1-0 Montpellier, League Cup final. Another trophy at the Stade de France, in a season where Marseille finished 2nd in Ligue 1.

📅 March 2011 — Champions League round of 16 against Manchester United. 0-0 at the Vélodrome then defeat at Old Trafford: Marseille went out with their heads high against that season's eventual finalists.

👑 Lucho González — Argentine international midfielder, signed from FC Porto in 2009, he wore Marseille's No.8 until 2012. A player of technique and character, whose short printing remains one of the most recognisable of that side.

🎯 Who is this shirt for?

01

The 2010 title supporter

Eighteen years of waiting, then the title. This is the shirt of the season after, when OM played as French champions. The peak of the decade.

02

The UCL-version hunter

Starball + RESPECT: the Champions League configuration, far rarer and more valued than the plain domestic version.

03

The white-and-gold lover

White, fine sky-blue pinstripes, gold embroidered crest, blue printing outlined in gold: one of the most elegant adidas home shirts ever worn at the Vélodrome.

04

The generous-XL wearer

60 cm wide, 83 cm long: the longest XL in my selection. Perfect if you want a covering fit or a genuinely oversized look.

Not sure? My Mystery Box is a great alternative — just add "OM" in the order notes.

❓ Frequently asked questions about this shirt

Is this Marseille shirt authentic?

Yes. The adidas label photographed (photo 4) carries reference P96784 and the date 04/10, consistent with the OM 2010-2011 home shirt. Add the embroidered crest with its gold star, the correct UEFA patches and the official blue-and-gold printing. Lifetime authenticity guarantee.

What does the star above the crest mean?

The 1993 Champions League win. Olympique de Marseille remain to this day the only French club to have won the competition, and the gold star above the OM monogram is a reminder of it on every shirt.

Who is "Lucho"?

Lucho González, an Argentine international midfielder who joined from FC Porto in 2009. He wore Marseille's No.8 until 2012. The printing shows only "LUCHO": that is the club's official version, not a shortcut.

Has the white yellowed or stained?

No, the white is still bright and no stains were found. The fabric simply carries a few micro wear marks visible only very close up: photo 6 is a deliberate close-up so there are no surprises on delivery.

How does this XL fit?

Very generous. Measured flat: 60 cm pit to pit and 83 cm long — adidas shirts in 2010 ran long. If you wear a L you will get a roomy, covering fit; if you want near-oversized, it is perfect.

How much is shipping and how fast?

Dispatched within 48 working hours with tracked Colissimo (€5.99 within mainland France, free over €100). International rates and delivery times are detailed on my shipping FAQ. 14-day returns if unworn.
