🛠️ Note from the Atelier: the inner label reads 05/12 with code X21906: an adidas production run from May 2012, right on time for the start of the season. My favourite detail is the tone-on-tone striped weave that only appears when light catches it — you can see it clearly on the front photos. Embroidered crest, not printed, as it should be.

📖 The story behind this shirt

2012-2013 was Intersport's first season across Marseille's chest, and it was also the peak of Mathieu Valbuena's time at the club. Number 28, 5ft 5in, able to turn a game with one burst or one inch-perfect cross. Under Élie Baup, Marseille finished second in Ligue 1 and Valbuena was involved in everything good.

❓ The questions I get asked

Is the shirt authentic?

Yes. I check every piece by hand: label, product code, weave, lettering. Here the adidas code X21906 dated 05/12 is present. If it is not authentic, I refund everything, return shipping included.

Is the nameset original?

Yes, it is an official Ligue 1 nameset from the period, with the LFP patches built into the digits. I photographed it close up so you can see the grain.

How does the S fit?

48 cm wide and 74 cm long flat. adidas cuts from 2012 sit fairly close to the body: if you are between two sizes, size up.

Is there another one?

No. Every shirt in the shop is one of a kind: once it is gone, it does not come back.

How long until I get it?

I ship within 24 to 48 h from France. Allow 2 to 3 working days in mainland France, a little more internationally.

What if the size does not fit?

You have 14 days to send it back to me. The shirt just has to come back in the state I sent it, that is all I ask.
