Shirt condition

Good condition

A worn shirt, with a few small marks that I show you in full in the photos. The Fedcom sponsor is complete with no cracking, the embroidered crest is intact and the MBAPPÉ 29 lettering is smooth and opaque. Flaws: two tiny rust-coloured dots between the crest and the sponsor (photo 6), a small grey mark along the side seam (photo 7) and light wear with an orange mark at the bottom of the side (photo 8). No holes, no snags.

Workshop note — Code 776802-133 is the AS Monaco 2016-2017 away shirt in fan version. The black side panels with gold piping are a good marker on this model: they are sewn in, not printed. The name, number and patches were applied in my workshop: I never use them as proof.

Mbappé and the champion Monaco side

In 2016-2017, Leonardo Jardim's AS Monaco produced one of the most spectacular seasons in French football. Alongside Falcao, Bernardo Silva, Fabinho and Thomas Lemar, an 18-year-old forward wore number 29: Kylian Mbappé.

Spring 2017: Mbappé scored in every Champions League knockout round, against Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and then Juventus. Monaco reached the semi-finals.

17 May 2017: a 2-0 win over Saint-Étienne, with Mbappé opening the scoring. Monaco were crowned French champions for the first time since 2000, with more than 100 league goals.

The following summer, Mbappé joined Paris Saint-Germain. This number 29 remains the one of his breakthrough at the highest level.

Will the marks come out in the wash?

I cannot promise that: they are old marks. I show them as they are in photos 6, 7 and 8 so that you buy with full knowledge. They are small and cannot be seen from a distance.

Why number 29?

It is the number Mbappé wore at Monaco in 2016-2017, the title season. He kept it for his first season at Paris Saint-Germain, before switching to 7.

How can I check the shirt is authentic?

Look at the small inner label: code 776802-133 should be there with the size. You can type the code into a search engine to check the model yourself. The crest should be embroidered in relief, crown included.

How does this XL fit?

Large: 59 cm pit to pit and 79 cm long. It suits an XL, or an L who likes a roomy fit.
