Germany 2020 Home Shirt - Kroos No.8 (M)

I couldn't find anything to fault. The white is clean and even, with no yellowing at the collar or underarms, and the AEROREADY fabric shows no pilling. The thin black stripes are regular all the way down, the black crew neck isn't stretched and the black, red and gold cuffs are crisp. The KROOS 8 printing is smooth, with no cracking and no lifting edges.

Joachim Löw's last tournament

Planned for summer 2020, then pushed back a year by the pandemic, Euro 2020 kept its name. For Germany it was the end of an era: Joachim Löw, head coach since 2006 and world champion in 2014, led the Mannschaft at a major tournament for the last time.

June 2021, group stage: a 1-0 defeat to France in Munich, a 4-2 win over Portugal, then a 2-2 draw with Hungary. Germany reach the round of 16.

29 June 2021: knocked out 2-0 by England at Wembley in the round of 16.

A few days later, Toni Kroos announced his international retirement. A 2014 world champion and the side's playmaker in the number 8, he only returned for Euro 2024 on home soil. This shirt closes his first chapter with the Mannschaft.
