📖 2018-2019: the wildest season in modern Spurs history
If you only remember one Tottenham season, make it this one. Under Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs reached the first Champions League final in their history — and got there by the most improbable route imaginable. This shirt, in full European configuration, is the one from that run.
📅 8 May 2019 — Ajax 2-3 Tottenham, semi-final second leg in Amsterdam. Trailing 3-0 on aggregate at half-time, Spurs came back through a Lucas Moura hat-trick, including the qualifying goal deep in stoppage time. One of the most famous comebacks in the competition's history — by the player named on this shirt.
📅 1 June 2019 — Tottenham 0-2 Liverpool, final in Madrid. The club's first major European final since 1984. It ended badly, but it happened — and this shirt carries the patches from it.
🏟️ 2019 — the year of the new stadium. The inner collar of this shirt reads “TOTTENHAM, N17” along with the site coordinates: this is the season the club finally left Wembley for its new High Road home.
👑 Lucas Moura — signed from PSG in January 2018, the Brazilian winger scored in Amsterdam the three most retold goals in the club's recent history. A Lucas No.27 nameset in Champions League spec, on this exact shirt, is a loaded piece.
