The white is clean, with no yellowing at the collar or under the arms, and the yellow of the sleeves is bright. The embroidered crest, the adidas logo and the three blue shoulder stripes are intact. The IBRAHIMOVIĆ 21 print on the back and the 21 on the chest lie perfectly flat. Nothing to report.

Workshop note — On adidas shirts of this era, the small white label sewn into the side gives the article code, batch and month of manufacture. Here, 04/02 dates production to spring 2002, consistent with the World Cup shirt.
Zlatan's first World Cup
In summer 2002, Zlatan Ibrahimović was 20. He had just joined Ajax Amsterdam and was part of the Swedish squad picked by Lars Lagerbäck and Tommy Söderberg for the World Cup in South Korea and Japan.
The “group of death”: England, Argentina, Nigeria. Sweden finished top, and Argentina went out in the first round.
In the round of 16, Sweden fell to Senegal to a golden goal by Henri Camara in extra time (2-1).
This white shirt with yellow sleeves was that team's away kit, just before Zlatan became the face of the national side.
Sweden's home shirt is yellow. For the 2002 away kit, adidas flipped it: white body, yellow sleeves and touches of blue, keeping the national colours.
How can this shirt be dated?
From the side label: code 299595, batch AVG001 and date 04/02, meaning April 2002. This is the production run for the World Cup year.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
Look at the label with code 299595, which you can check yourself, then the embroidery on the S.F.F. crest and the mesh side panels.
How does this L fit?
It measures 58 cm pit to pit and 74 cm in length. It is wide and rather short: if you wear a regular L or XL, it will fit you.
