PSV 2011-2012 Away Shirt - Memphis N°22 (M)

The fabric is in excellent condition: the sky blue and black checks keep strong colours, with no pilling or snags, and the collar and sleeve cuffs are straight. The badge and two stars are intact (photo 3). The 22 MEMPHIS print is complete and flat (photo 5). One thing to note: the Philips sponsor shows fine cracking, mainly on the letters P, H and S (photos 6 and 7).

Key facts about this piece

The Philips sponsor shows fine cracking, visible in photos 6 and 7. It only affects the sponsor print; the fabric, badge and name and number are in excellent condition. I have taken it into account in the rating.

Memphis, before the fame

The 2011-2012 PSV side was looking for a new lease of life behind Ajax. The club ended the season with silverware: it won the Dutch Cup, beating Heracles 3-0 in the final in April 2012.

A homegrown winger. Memphis Depay, a product of the PSV academy, took his first steps in the first team around this time.

2014-2015, the breakthrough. Three seasons later he finished as the Eredivisie's top scorer with 22 goals and gave PSV their first league title since 2008.

In summer 2015 he left for Manchester United. This blue and black checked shirt, one of PSV's most striking away kits, takes you back to his very beginnings.
