The green has stayed vivid, the white has not yellowed, the polo collar is still firm and the embroidered crest is intact. No holes, no nameset wear. One point disclosed in full transparency: a tiny mark on the white section, above the small chest 11 (visible in photo 6). It is discreet, but I would rather show it than let you find it on arrival.

📖 2012: Wales before the legend
This shirt belongs to the pivotal period of Welsh football: the moment a generation was being built, before the European nights that would write the country into history.
📅 January 2012 — Chris Coleman takes charge. He succeeded Gary Speed, who died in November 2011. Coleman would take Wales to their highest point.
📅 2012 — Bale already wearing No.11. At the time he was at Tottenham and not yet the most expensive player in the world. This shirt captures him right before the switch.
📅 September 2013 — the record transfer. Gareth Bale left Tottenham for Real Madrid for a fee that broke the world record at the time. One year after this shirt.
📅 Summer 2016 — the Euro semi-final. Wales reached the last four of Euro 2016 in France: their first major tournament since 1958, and the peak of the Bale generation.

Is the shirt 100% authentic?
Yes. Welsh crest embroidered in relief with the full motto (photo 3), original Umbro composition label (photo 4) and official nameset with Wales crests (photo 5). Real photos of the exact item sold, lifetime authenticity guarantee.
Is the tiny mark a problem?
It sits on the white section, above the small chest 11, and stays discreet at wearing distance. I photograph it close up (photo 6) so you can decide with full information. It is the only defect found on the piece.
What does the motto on the crest mean?
“Gorau chwarae, cyd chwarae” is the Welsh FA motto, in Welsh: it means, in essence, that the best play is playing together. It appears on the scroll at the bottom of the embroidered crest.
Why does this shirt have no sponsor?
National team shirts do not carry a chest sponsor, unlike clubs: only the kit manufacturer and the federation crest appear. That is what gives them their clean look, very wearable day to day.
