No flaws. The black and white stripes are sharp and the white has not yellowed, including at the collar and underarms. The raised Northern Rock sponsor is intact and the embroidered crest has no pulled threads.

100% AUTHENTIC
✦ Lifetime authenticity guarantee
Checked by hand in my authentication workshop. If a piece bought from me ever turned out to be non-authentic, I refund it in full. No expiry date: only original pieces, never modern reissues.
Inner adidas label (photo 4): date 03/09, code E84395 and batch number, alongside the multilingual composition label
Embroidered Newcastle United crest: seahorses, castle and red pennant finely detailed (photo 3)
Stripes woven into the breathable ClimaCool fabric, perfectly aligned at the seams (photos 1 and 2)
adidas finishes: embroidered logo, round badge at the hem, side panels with blue piping (photo 2)
Workshop note — The Magpies crest is an excellent reference point: the two seahorses and the castle must be embroidered precisely. Here the embroidery is dense and the label date fits a summer 2009 launch.
Carroll and the Magpies' return
In May 2009, Newcastle were relegated from the Premier League. The club started again in the Championship with Chris Hughton on the bench and a home-grown striker born in Gateshead: Andy Carroll.
2009-2010 season: Championship winners with 102 points, straight back to the Premier League. Carroll finished as the club's top scorer.
31 January 2011: Liverpool signed him for £35 million, a record for a British player at the time.
This striped shirt with Football League lettering bears witness to Newcastle's single second-tier season in these adidas colours.
Why is there a Football League logo on the numbers?
In 2009-2010, Newcastle played in the Championship, the English second tier run by the Football League. The black lettering with gold outline and its small logo belong to that competition, not to the Premier League.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
Look at the small inner label: date 03/09 and code E84395, which you can check yourself. Then look at the crest embroidery, which is very detailed on this model.
Has the white yellowed?
No. The white stripes are even, with no dullness at the collar or underarms. That is rare on a shirt more than fifteen years old, and it is why it gets a 10/10.
How does this S fit?
True to size, with a little room. 49 cm pit to pit and 74 cm long: if you wear S on the high street, it should fit you.
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
Shipped within 24-48 h with tracking: €5.99 in France, €9.99 to the EU, and free from €99.99. You have 14 days to return the shirt if it doesn't suit you. All the details in my shipping FAQ.
