Napoli 2011-2012 Third Shirt - Cavani No.7 (S)

This shirt has ten years of football behind it and I'd rather say so up front: the Lete sponsor is crazed across its whole surface (photos 3 and 7), the navy shoulder panel shows fine cracking (photo 6) and a faint mark remains at the lower back (photo 8). Nothing torn, nothing peeling off — but this is an honest 8/10, not a new shirt.

📐 Flat measurements

Lay flat a shirt that already fits you well, measure it the same way and compare — vintage sizing is often very different from new.

The yellow is still bright and even, with no faded patches and no underarm halos — the first thing I check on a colour this light. The CAVANI No.7 nameset is intact: no lifted letters, no rising edges. The Champions League and RESPECT patches are firmly stitched. The wear is concentrated on the printed transfers: the Lete sponsor and the shoulder panel show the crazing typical of Macron prints from this era, fully documented in the photos.

• Original Macron label photographed (photo 4): « Via Brodolini 5 Crespellano Italy » address, 92% polyester / 8% elastane composition and care symbols — exactly the layout of early-2010s Macron labels
• The Napoli « N » is printed inside the number 7 (photo 5): a pale blue watermark barely darker than the digit, plus the small yellow crest at the foot of the 7. Fakes replace both details with a flat block of colour — the quickest test on this shirt
• Champions League starball on one sleeve and RESPECT on the other: the 2011-2012 European configuration, distinct from the Serie A version

📖 Cavani, a roaring San Paolo and Naples back in Europe

Some shirts coincide with an awakening. This yellow third belongs to the season Napoli returned to the Champions League and Edinson Cavani became one of the most feared strikers in Europe.

🏆 Coppa Italia 2012 — the trophy that relaunched the club. Napoli beat Juventus 2-0 in the final and ended the Turin side's unbeaten league season. Cavani was part of it: the club's first trophy in twenty years.

⭐ 3-1 against Chelsea at the San Paolo. In the Champions League round of 16 first leg, Naples outplayed the eventual winners. Elimination came in the return at Stamford Bridge, but that night still lives on at the club.

🎯 The Cavani – Lavezzi – Hamsik front three. The attack that made this Napoli side's name. This No.7 nameset belongs to the finisher of the trio.

🎨 Yellow, Napoli's third colour — Macron brought yellow back regularly as a third kit, but rarely with this sky blue / navy contrast. It is now one of the most recognisable designs of the Macron era.
