Manchester City 2016-2017 Third Shirt - Yaya Touré N°42 (XXL)

The orange-to-purple gradient is bold, with no fading or discolouration, and the fine horizontal stripes are sharp all the way down. The embroidered crest, the Nike swoosh and the Etihad sponsor are intact, and the V-neck has kept its shape. The TOURE YAYA 42 lettering is a premium reproduction, applied by hand in my workshop in the period font of the season (unofficial): it is brand new, without a single crack.

Yaya Touré, the boss of midfield

Signed from FC Barcelona in 2010, Yaya Touré carried the City project from the inside. He scored the winner in the 2011 FA Cup final against Stoke (1-0), the club's first trophy in 35 years.

2013-2014: 20 Premier League goals from midfield, and a second league title.

19 November 2016: left out since the start of the season, he returns against Crystal Palace and scores both goals in a 2-1 win.

The 2016-2017 season is Pep Guardiola's first in charge. City finish third in the Premier League, and Touré becomes a regular starter in midfield again until he leaves in 2018.
