The purple is still vivid, the lavender gradient on the forearms is crisp and the embroidered crest is intact. The HART 1 printing lies flat. Two points to flag: fine cracking in the white print of the Etihad sponsor (photos 6 and 7), and a hem seam slightly undone over a few centimetres (photo 8). No holes, no stains.

100% AUTHENTIC
✦ Authenticity guaranteed for life
Checked by hand in my authentication workshop. If a piece bought from me ever turned out not to be authentic, I refund it in full. No expiry: only original pieces, never modern re-editions.
Inner Nike label (photo 4): size S, model code 658879-547, FA15 batch reference and full barcode
Embroidered eagle crest (photo 3): gold eagle, M.C.F.C. shield, three stars and the Superbia in Proelio motto, dense stitching
Fabric: perforated Dri-FIT knit, with the forearm stripes built into the fabric
Workshop note — On this shirt I cross-check code and batch: the 547 suffix is the purple colourway, and the FA15 prefix on the label stands for the autumn 2015 collection. Both point to the same season as the shirt itself.
Joe Hart, the number 1's last season
Signed from Shrewsbury in 2006, Joe Hart became first-choice goalkeeper for Manchester City and then England. With the club he won two league titles, in 2012 and 2014, and four Premier League Golden Gloves.
Spring 2016, Champions League. City knocked out Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals and reached the last four of the competition for the first time in their history, before losing to Real Madrid (0-0, 0-1).
That same season the club won the League Cup against Liverpool. It was Manuel Pellegrini's last year in charge.
In summer 2016, Pep Guardiola's arrival changed everything and Hart was loaned to Torino. This purple shirt is therefore from his last season as City's first-choice keeper.
Only up close. The cracking is fine lines in the white of Etihad (photos 6 and 7). The undone hem is at the bottom of the shirt (photo 8): a few stitches are enough to close it.
Why a purple goalkeeper shirt?
A goalkeeper must stand out from the outfield players of both teams. With City playing in sky blue, Nike chose a deep purple for 2015-2016, lifted by lavender stripes on the forearms.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
Read the inner label: code 658879-547, FA15 batch and size S. Then look at the dense embroidery of the eagle crest and the forearm stripes built into the fabric.
How does this S fit?
True to size, with a little room: 48 cm pit to pit and 71 cm long. The long sleeves cover the wrist well on an S frame.
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
