For a piece that is almost twenty years old, the red is remarkably bright and the navy panels have not faded. The chest sponsor, the Airness panther and the crest are sharp. Wear is limited to the Partouche sponsor on the back, which shows fine cracking on a few letters (photos 6 and 7), only visible up close.

Key facts about this piece
The label says XXXL, but Airness shirts from this era run very small and very close to the body. Worn, this shirt fits like an L. Go by the measurements, not the label.

Airness “Only Sport” label (photo 4): drawn panther, size XXXL, reference AN7010025 and the line F3027 LILLE
LOSC crest with the red mastiff and LILLE MÉTROPOLE lettering, sharp and well centred (photo 3)
Piqué knit, fine and regular, with 9% elastane giving the fabric its stretch
Airness finishing: contrast topstitching, golden panther at the top of the back and on the sleeve
Workshop note — On LOSC Airness shirts, the label carries the city name just under the reference: here, “F3027 LILLE”. I also look at the composition: the polyester and elastane blend explains why these shirts fit so close to the body.
Puel's LOSC, Hazard's school
In 2006-2007, Claude Puel's LOSC played their second Champions League campaign in a row. The Mastiffs got out of their group and met Manchester United in the round of 16.
February-March 2007: two 1-0 defeats against the Red Devils end the European run.
At the same time, a young Belgian who arrived in 2005 was growing up in the academy: Eden Hazard. He made his Ligue 1 debut in November 2007, aged 16.
May 2011: Hazard and LOSC win the French Cup and league double.
Airness shirts from this period run about two sizes below the label. At 55 cm pit to pit and 73 cm long, it is made for someone who wears an L.
Can you see the cracking on the sponsor?
Only up close. They are fine lines on a few letters of PARTOUCHE on the back (photos 6 and 7). The chest sponsor is intact.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
Look at the Airness label: reference AN7010025 followed by F3027 LILLE, then the composition. Then check how sharp the crest is and the contrast topstitching.
