Flawless. The white has not yellowed — and on a blue and white striped shirt, that is the first thing I look at. No stains, no holes, no bobbling, the polo collar is not stretched and the buttons are present. The altice and Super Bock prints are crisp, and the MILITÃO No.3 nameset is intact, including the textured pattern inside the digit (photo 5).

📖 2018-2019: one season, one possible shirt
This is why I keep this shirt among my gems: Éder Militão only wore the Porto shirt for a single season. He arrived from Brazil in the summer of 2018 and left for Real Madrid in the summer of 2019. A Porto shirt printed with his name can therefore only exist in this 2018-2019 version — there is no alternative, no other season to look for.
📅 Summer 2018 — the arrival. Porto signed a 20-year-old Brazilian centre-back unknown to European audiences. He went straight into the Dragons' defence and made his name on the continental stage in a single season.
📅 Summer 2019 — the move to Madrid. Twelve months later, Real Madrid signed him in one of the biggest transfers FC Porto has ever made on a defender. A profit turned in a single season — the Porto speciality.
📅 The altice / Super Bock pairing. This sponsor combination — altice on the chest, Super Bock on the back — is specific to this period of the club. It instantly places the shirt in Porto's New Balance years, a short and very recognisable era.
👑 Éder Militão — a Brazilian international, since established as a mainstay of the Real Madrid defence, where he has won La Liga and the Champions League. Collectors often try to trace a player's first European years: for him, that means this shirt and nothing else.

Is the shirt 100% authentic?
Yes, and it is particularly easy to check here: the original New Balance label (photo 4) carries the wording “2018/2019” and product code MT830107. Add to that the embroidered crest, the woven stripes and the official Liga NOS number. Lifetime authenticity guarantee.
Why is this shirt considered rare?
Because Militão only played one season at FC Porto, between arriving from Brazil in 2018 and his Real Madrid transfer in 2019. There is therefore no other season in which his name could have been printed on a Porto shirt. The production window is one year, full stop.
What is the red logo inside the number?
It is the Liga NOS logo, the Portuguese league's name at the time, built into the top of the digit (photo 5). This type of number is only used for league matches, and its design changes regularly — an excellent dating marker.
How does this New Balance shirt fit in size M?
Actual flat measurements: 55 cm pit to pit, 73 cm in length. It is a fairly generous M, with a straight cut and a relaxed drape. If you usually wear a fitted L, this M may well suit you. More benchmarks in my sizing guide.
