Shirt condition

Excellent condition, original tags

The shirt still has its New Balance swing tag. The white is clean, the graded blue stripes are sharp, the MEO sponsor and the crest are spotless. Two reservations, which I show you in close-up: a very discreet light mark on one front blue stripe (photo 7), and slight yellowish stains just above the hem, at the bottom front (photo 8).

Key facts about this piece

Original swing tag still attached, but two small flaws. The slight stains above the front hem (photo 8) and the tiny mark on a blue stripe (photo 7) are discreet once the shirt is worn, but I prefer to show them to you: they are why I do not sell it as new. The printing and the sleeve patches were applied in my workshop.

100% AUTHENTIC

✦ Lifetime authenticity guarantee

I checked this shirt by hand in my authentication workshop. Only original pieces, never modern re-editions. If a piece bought from me were ever found to be non-authentic, I refund it in full. The guarantee never expires.

  • Cross-checked reference: the swing tag (photo 4) reads MT630033, « FCP HME SS JY WT XL » (Porto, home, short sleeve, white, XL) and the product barcode. The inner label (photo 5) repeats the same reference MT630033 with 2016/2017-HSK811
  • Both labels match down to the distributor: each one names Alfico S.A.U., Redondela (Spain), with the same address and company number
  • The New Balance authentication hologram, gold and numbered, is heat-applied at the bottom front of the shirt (photo 8)
  • The FC Porto crest is detailed right down to the dragon and the « Invicta » motto, with a crisp blue globe and FCP letters (photo 3). The blue stripes are graded in three tones, with no bleeding onto the white

Workshop note — The « FCP HME SS JY WT » wording on the swing tag is wonderfully readable: club, version, sleeve length, product type and colour, all abbreviated. When that wording matches the shirt in your hands and the inner label, the piece is consistent from end to end. My authentication covers the shirt itself, not the customisation added in my workshop.

Diogo Jota, the Porto year

In summer 2016, Atlético Madrid loaned Diogo Jota to FC Porto. The young forward, who made his name at Paços de Ferreira, discovered the Champions League there and established himself in Nuno Espírito Santo's side, with 19 on his back.

2016-2017 in Europe. Porto got out of their Champions League group and reached the round of 16, where they were knocked out by Juventus.

The springboard. After this season at the Dragão, Jota joined Wolverhampton, then Liverpool in 2020, where he won the Premier League. He passed away on 3 July 2025, aged 28.

The blue and white stripes — the Dragões' historic pattern, reworked here by New Balance with graded stripes and a polo collar.

The whole decade is waiting in my 2010s collection, and every piece in my vintage football shirts.

Frequently asked questions

Why isn't it sold as new with tags?

Because it has two small flaws: slight stains above the front hem and a tiny mark on a blue stripe, both shown in close-up (photos 7 and 8). The swing tag is there, but I prefer an honest grade.

Why « DIOGO J. » and not « JOTA »?

That is how his name appeared on the back of his club shirts, at Porto as later at Liverpool.

How can I check the shirt is authentic?

Compare the reference MT630033 on the swing tag with the one on the inner label: they are identical. Also spot the numbered New Balance hologram at the bottom front. My full method is in my authentication guide.

How does this XL fit?

59 cm pit to pit and 79 cm long: a generous XL. If you wear L and like a loose fit, it will suit you too.

How much is shipping and how long does it take?

I ship within 24-48 h with tracking: €5.99 in France, €9.99 to the EU, free from €99.99. You have 14 days to return the shirt if it does not suit you. Details in my shipping FAQ.
