Very good condition
Very good overall condition: no holes, no stains. One point to flag in full transparency — the "BAYERN MÜNCHEN" lettering across the upper back has heavily faded (see photo 6): it was printed tone on tone and lost its relief through washing. It is still legible but very discreet. The orange COSTA No.11 printing, on the other hand, is flawless, as are the sleeve patches.

📖 2016-2017: Ancelotti's Bayern, Douglas Costa's last season
This charcoal grey shirt with its diagonal sash is one of the most recognisable Bayern away kits of the decade. It belongs to Carlo Ancelotti's first season on the bench, after three years of Guardiola — and to Douglas Costa's last season at Bayern.
🏆 German champions 2017. Bayern won their fifth consecutive Bundesliga title, a level of dominance without equal in modern German football.
📅 April 2017 — Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid. Bayern went out to the eventual winners after a two-legged tie people still argue about. The UEFA patches on this shirt are from that European campaign.
✈️ Summer 2017 — Douglas Costa joins Juventus. The Brazilian left Munich after two seasons. Shirts printed with his name in the European version therefore only existed for a very short window.
👑 Douglas Costa — the Brazilian winger known for his pace and dribbling, signed from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2015. A cult player rather than a mainstream star: exactly the kind of printing seasoned collectors look for.

Is the shirt 100% authentic?
Yes. Original adidas label photographed with product code AZ4656 (photo 4) — a code you can verify yourself. Embroidered crest, official Telekom sponsor, correct UEFA patches. Real photos of the exact item sold, lifetime authenticity guarantee.
Is the "BAYERN MÜNCHEN" back lettering damaged?
It has heavily faded. On this model adidas printed that lettering tone on tone with a light relief — washing flattens it and it loses contrast. It is still legible up close (photo 6) but barely stands out. That is the only reason this shirt sits at 8.5/10 rather than higher.
What does the patch with the number 5 mean?
It is the UEFA "Badge of Honour", worn by clubs that have won at least five European Cups / Champions Leagues. Bayern had five at the time of this shirt (1974, 1975, 1976, 2001, 2013).
