AS Roma 2021-2022 Home Shirt - Zaniolo N°22 (M)

The Pompeian red is deep and even, with no fading on the shoulders or back. The embroidered she-wolf is dense, with no pulled threads (photo 3). The yellow mesh cuffs are clean, the collar holds its shape and the care label is complete and readable. I found no hole and no stain: only a slight « worn » feel to the fabric makes me give 9.5 rather than 10.

Key facts about this piece

The shirt is an authentic 2021-2022 home shirt, set up in the Tirana final configuration. The printing, the two sleeve patches and the « Final Tirana 2022 » match details were applied in my workshop. So this is not a shirt worn in the match, and I do not present it as one: it is that night's kit, recreated on an original shirt.

Tirana, 25 May 2022

In its first season with New Balance and its first campaign under José Mourinho, Roma went all the way in the brand-new Conference League. The final was played at the Arena Kombëtare in Tirana, against Feyenoord.

Roma 1-0 Feyenoord. The only goal came from Nicolò Zaniolo in the first half: a chest control and a ball lifted over the keeper. The 22 on this shirt belongs to the man who scored the final.

A historic first. It was Roma's first European trophy since the 1961 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, and Mourinho became the first coach to win the Champions League, the UEFA Cup/Europa League and the Conference League.
