AS Roma 2018-2019 Third Shirt - Džeko No.9 (M)

⚠️ Read this before you buy

A light stain at the bottom of the back, near the hem (photo 6): around 3 cm, it survived a wash in my workshop. It sits in the area that tucks into your trousers and stays invisible once worn. Nothing else to report.

📐 Flat measurements

Lay flat a shirt that already fits you well, measure it the same way and compare — vintage sizing is often very different from new.

Very good overall condition, apart from the stain flagged above. The yellow is bright and even, with no fading at the underarms, and the map of Rome print stands out crisply across the whole front. The burgundy DŽEKO No.9 nameset is flawless, with the small she-wolf crest set at the foot of the 9 and a perfectly clean white outline. Both UEFA sleeve patches — Europa League and Respect — are firmly stitched, with no lifting corners. Raised printed crest intact, burgundy V-neck with no stretching, open-knit fabric with no snags or pilling. Washed and inspected in my workshop, no odour.

• The map of Rome sits inside the knit (photos 2 and 3): streets, the Tiber and the monuments are worked into the fabric in two tones of orange, not laid on top. On copies the pattern is printed flat and breaks at the folds
• The crest is raised print, not embroidery (photo 3): the Capitoline wolf and the ROMA 1927 lettering are in matte silver-grey on burgundy, with a sharp edge and a slight thickness under the finger — the signature of Nike crests that season
• The wolf crest is built into the 9 (photo 5): a small shield sitting inside the loop of the digit. That is the detail of the season's official nameset, missing from reproductions

📖 The shirt that carries the map of Rome

In 2018 Nike did something few clubs dare: put the city itself on the shirt. AS Roma's yellow third carries the map of the historic centre, from the Tiber to the Colosseum.

🗺️ The city in the fabric. Streets, bridges, squares and monuments of central Rome are drawn in orange on yellow. A shirt you read as much as you wear.

⚽ Edin Džeko, Roma's number 9. Signed in 2015, the Bosnian scored close to 120 goals in six giallorossi seasons and remains one of the most loved strikers of the Stadio Olimpico.

🐺 Right after the 2018 semi-final. This shirt comes straight after the season in which Roma overturned Barcelona 3-0 and reached the Champions League semi-finals.

🎨 Yellow and burgundy — The yellow is no fantasy: together with blood red it is one of the club's two historic colours, taken from the city of Rome itself. Nike put them together here in their brightest version yet, with a burgundy V-neck and orange side panels.
