Let's be clear: this shirt has lived. General fabric wear and several diffuse marks and stains on the white stripes, mostly on the back — all photographed in close-up (photos 6 and 7). On the other hand: no holes, no snags, and the MESSI No.10 printing is in excellent condition with no lifting. This is a shirt to wear, not a display piece — and the price reflects that.

📖 2018: the Russian World Cup, two stars and a weight to carry
This shirt is the Argentina from before the release. Two stars on the crest, a 30-year-old Messi still carrying the hopes of an entire country on his own, and a pixelated stripe pattern that became one of the most recognisable designs of the decade.
📅 26 June 2018 — Nigeria 1-2 Argentina. Messi opens the scoring with a stunning touch-and-finish in Saint Petersburg, and Rojo sends the Albiceleste through in the 86th minute. The shirt of one of the tensest nights in the national team's recent history.
⭐⭐ Two stars — not three. 1978 and 1986. The third only arrived in December 2022 in Qatar. A two-star shirt therefore dates its era precisely: the time when Messi had still won nothing with Argentina.
🎨 The « pixel » design. In 2018 adidas reinterpreted the sky blue and white stripes with a stepped gradient. A bold graphic choice, instantly identifiable, never repeated since.
👑 Lionel Messi — born in Rosario in 1987, eight-time Ballon d'Or winner, 2022 world champion and two-time Copa América winner. In 2018 he was still carrying the weight of every lost final. That is the Messi this shirt tells you about.

Is the shirt 100% authentic?
Yes. Original adidas label 02/18 with code BQ9324 (photo 4), embroidered AFA crest, Hecho en Argentina wording. Authentication carried out in my workshop, real photos of the exact item sold, lifetime authenticity guarantee.
How visible are the stains?
They are spread across the white stripes, mostly on the back, and remained after washing. In close-up (photos 6 and 7) they are clear; worn, the whole thing reads as patina. I am not playing them down: that is why this shirt is rated 7.5/10 and priced accordingly.
Why only two stars on the crest?
Because in 2018 Argentina had won only two World Cups, in 1978 and 1986. The third star arrived in December 2022 in Qatar. A two-star crest is therefore a date marker that cannot be faked on a modern shirt.
How does this S fit?
47 cm pit to pit and 73 cm in length, flat measurements given above. It is a fairly long S, in keeping with adidas 2018 international kits. Compare with a shirt you already wear.
