AC Milan 2014-2015 Home Shirt - Honda No.10 (M)

⚠️ Read this before buying

The Fly Emirates sponsor on the front has fine cracking, mostly across the letters of "Emirates". You can see it in photo 6, shot close up. This is the original factory print from 2014: after more than ten years, it's the first area to go. Nothing is lifting and no letter is missing. It's the only reason this isn't a 10/10.

📐 Flat measurements

Lay a shirt that fits you well flat, measure it the same way and compare — vintage often sizes differently from new.

The red hasn't turned orange and the black hasn't greyed — on a striped shirt of this age it's the contrast between the two that gives away wear, and here it's intact. The knit is sound, with no pilling and no thinning at the shoulders. The button collar holds straight and both buttons are present. The embroidered crest is crisp. Only flaw: the cracking on the front sponsor described above (photo 6).

• A crest copies almost always get wrong: this shirt doesn't carry the usual ACM badge but the coat of arms of the city of Milan — a red cross on white, gold star above, small ACM inset at the bottom. It's raised embroidery. Look at photo 3
• The stripes are woven, not printed: red and black are two separate yarns in the knit. Run a finger over it against the light and you'll see fine stripes of differing widths alternating. Copies print a regular pattern onto plain fabric
• Black two-button henley collar, with its reinforced inner placket and a panel of ventilated mesh across the upper back

📖 A Japanese number 10 at San Siro

Milan's number 10 means Rivera, Gullit, Boban, Seedorf, Rui Costa. In 2014 it went to a twenty-eight-year-old Japanese arriving from CSKA Moscow — a first in the club's history.

🇯🇵 Keisuke Honda, the rossonero 10. He arrived in January 2014 and wore the number 10 until his departure in 2017. A nameset in high demand in Japan as well as in Europe.

🧊 Inzaghi in the dugout. 2014-2015 is the season Filippo Inzaghi, the club's former striker, managed the first team. A transitional year, and a shirt remembered for its button collar.

🛡️ The cross of Milan on the chest. That season adidas replaced the ACM badge with the city's coat of arms. A choice the club has never repeated — which is what makes this shirt instantly recognisable.

🎨 Narrower stripes than usual — adidas tightened the red-black rhythm here and lifted it with a brighter red than on previous models. The result is sharper, less sombre.
