8.5/10
Shirt condition
Very good condition
For a twenty-year-old shirt, it has held up very well. The gold and navy are still strong, with no noticeable fading, and the Neuf Telecom sponsor is complete, with no missing parts or cracking. The sky-blue shoulder stripes and the collar are in good shape. Only one point to note: a tiny snag in the navy knit, below the sponsor (photo 6). The RIBERY 7 printing is smooth, with no lifting edges.

Key facts about this piece
A tiny snag in the navy section, just below the "telecom" of the sponsor: two minute lighter pulled-thread dots, visible up close (photo 6). Nothing is torn and the knit holds. When worn, it goes unnoticed.

Workshop note — Code 110212 matches the OM 2005-2006 third shirt, and the 03/05 date places its production a few months before the season started. The printing and LFP badge were applied in my workshop: I never use them as proof, my expertise covers the shirt itself.
The season Ribéry broke through
Summer 2005: OM sign Franck Ribéry, 22, back from Galatasaray. Having come through Boulogne, Alès and Brest before blossoming at Metz, he became the darling of the Vélodrome within months, wearing the number 7.
Summer 2005: OM win the Intertoto Cup, their ticket to the UEFA Cup.
29 April 2006: Coupe de France final at the Stade de France, lost 2-1 to PSG.
A few weeks later, Raymond Domenech took him to the World Cup in Germany, where he scored against Spain in the round of 16; France went all the way to the final. This gold and navy third shirt, split down the middle, goes with the year everything changed for him.
Frequently asked questions
Can the flaw be seen when worn?
Barely. It is two pulled-thread dots of a few millimetres in the navy section, below the sponsor. They show up close, on photo 6, but not at a normal distance.
What do the label codes mean?
03/05 is the production date (March 2005) and 110212 the adidas model code for the OM 2005-2006 third shirt; the third line is the factory code. You can search 110212 online to check the model yourself.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
Look at the inner label: code 110212 and date 03/05 should be there. The crest should be raised embroidery with the "Droit au but" motto, and the gold and navy split should run straight and clean from collar to hem.
How does this XL fit?
Large, like the cuts of the time: 59 cm pit to pit and 76 cm long. If you wear XL today, it will fit roomy; someone who usually wears L will wear it as a relaxed fit.
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
Dispatched within 24-48 h with tracking: €5.99 in France, €9.99 to the EU, and free from €99.99. You have 14 days to send the shirt back if it doesn't suit you. All the details are in my shipping FAQ.
