Shirt condition

Perfect condition

For a shirt that is almost twenty years old, this is exceptional: the white has not yellowed, the collar and underarms are clean, and the black Pirelli sponsor is complete with no cracking at all. The embroidered crest and gold star have no pulled threads, and the black trim on the sleeves and hem is intact. The FIGO 7 printing lies perfectly flat.

Workshop note — Code 287409-105 matches Inter's white 2008-2009 away shirt in supporter version. On Nike shirts of this era I check the quality of the crest embroidery and the small code tag sewn next to the care instructions: its printing must be sharp, straight and clean. The printing and patch were applied in my workshop, so I never use them as proof.

Mourinho arrives, Figo leaves a champion

In summer 2008, Inter, champions of Italy three years running, handed the dugout to José Mourinho. The season began with a Supercoppa Italiana won against Roma on penalties.

A fourth scudetto in a row. Inter finished top of Serie A, driven by Zlatan Ibrahimović, the league's top scorer with 25 goals.

May 2009, Figo's farewell. The 2000 Ballon d'Or winner Luís Figo ended his career at the close of this season, after four years in Milan and four Italian titles wearing the Nerazzurri 7.

In Italy, a club wears a star once it reaches ten league titles. Inter has worn it since its tenth scudetto, won in 1966.

Are the printing and patch original?

The FIGO 7 printing and the Serie A patch were applied in my workshop. I never count them as proof of authenticity: that rests on the shirt alone.

How can I check the shirt is authentic?

Look at the small inner tag: the code 287409-105 and size S must be on it. You can type 287409-105 into a search engine to check the model yourself.
